Bookkeeper

Job Description
This position works with a variety of internal and external customers and is an integral part of maintaining clear and consistent daily accounting operations. The ideal candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills, 4+ years of full-charge bookkeeping/accounting experience and enjoy working independently in an office environment as well as working in a team environment.
Duties:
- Manage all aspects of bookkeeping and financial statement preparation for assigned clients on a monthly or quarterly basis
- Be the liaison for assigned clients for all communications
- Ability to work at client sites in the area if necessary
- Ability to process payroll on various platforms
- Process tax payments for clients including but not limited to payroll, sales, etc.
- Assist with invoicing and collections of assigned client accounts
- Assess client accounts and streamline process/procedures if possible
Requirements:
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
- Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Proficient in Quickbooks and Quickbooks Online
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Thrives in a collaborative, team player office environment
- Ability to interface well with staff and external contacts of the Authority
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong organizational skills
- Prefer BA in Accounting
