Bookkeeper

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Description

This position works with a variety of internal and external customers and is an integral part of maintaining clear and consistent daily accounting operations. The ideal candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills, 4+ years of full-charge bookkeeping/accounting experience and enjoy working independently in an office environment as well as working in a team environment.

Duties:

  • Manage all aspects of bookkeeping and financial statement preparation for assigned clients on a monthly or quarterly basis
  • Be the liaison for assigned clients for all communications
  • Ability to work at client sites in the area if necessary
  • Ability to process payroll on various platforms
  • Process tax payments for clients including but not limited to payroll, sales, etc.
  • Assist with invoicing and collections of assigned client accounts
  • Assess client accounts and streamline process/procedures if possible

Requirements:

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
  • Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Proficient in Quickbooks and Quickbooks Online
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Thrives in a collaborative, team player office environment
  • Ability to interface well with staff and external contacts of the Authority
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Prefer BA in Accounting
